BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Due to Clemson University’s inability to attend the opening weekend of Men’s Collegiate Club Southeast Division competition at the Huntsville Aquatics Center in Huntsville, Ala., on Saturday-Sunday, September 15-16, the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) announces an adjusted schedule for the event.
Competition will now begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 15, as Vanderbilt University faces Auburn University prior to the University of Alabama-vs.-University of Mississippi (11:05 a.m.), University of Tennessee-vs.-Georgia Institute of Technology (12:10 p.m.), Vanderbilt-vs.-University of Georgia (1:15 p.m.), Auburn-vs.-Alabama (2:20 p.m.), Georgia Tech-vs.-Mississippi (3:25 p.m.), Georgia-vs.-Tennessee (4:30 p.m.) and Vanderbilt-vs.-Alabama (5:35 p.m.) following to conclude the first day of action.
On Sunday, September 16, four league games and a pair of exhibition contests will occur. Georgia-vs.-Georgia Tech (9:30 a.m.), Auburn-vs.-Tennessee (10:35 a.m.) and Georgia-vs.-Mississippi (11:40 a.m.) open the day prior to a pair of exhibition games pitting Tennessee-vs.-Alabama (12:45 p.m.) and Auburn-vs.-Georgia Tech (1:50 p.m.). The weekend concludes at 2:55 p.m. with Vanderbilt and Mississippi in the 14th league game at Huntsville.
Due to the change, the Southeast Division Championship on Saturday-Sunday, October 27-28, at Georgia Tech will now be seeded based on win/loss percentage.
