One of my favorite photos from the Don Hunsinger Collection taken in 2012 or `13. Here we have Cooper City High Head Coach Gary Bogumill with assistant coach and son Michael Bogumill Esq. gazing at youngest family member Brandon Bogumill rising from the water. Gary and Mike are two conservative, unassuming, quiet guys and Brandon, well let's just say he's not (if I didn't know better I'd swear he was the milkman's son). The Bogumill family is one of the many unsung stories in the history of South Florida water polo. They, including mom Elena single-handedly resurrected the Copper City water polo program from the ashes and remained it's cornerstones for several years. Thanks to the Bogumill's, CCHS water polo is still a thriving program kept alive by Ross & Serena Benner for the past few years.
