The biggest NZ based Club is the Pan Pacific Youth Water Polo Festival gold medals record holder.
20&U gold medal Pan Pacs battle: North Harbour vs NSW Blues
This New Zealand based club was first formed in 1986 with the name of Glenfield Aquatic. They were renamed three times, in 1994 as North Harbour Water Polo Club (NHWP), in 2002 as North Sport Water Polo and again as North Harbour in 2007 when they became the largest Water Polo Club in New Zealand. NHWP is the current New Zealand National League men's and women’s champions.
Their first gold medal in the Pan Pacific was in 1992, when they were still called Glenfield Aquatic Club, and won the first place in the 20U men’s division. Since then, North Harbour has conquered 27 times, old medals in 7 different divisions in over 14 editions of the Pan Pacs. Their lastest achievement was the 20U women’s title on 10th of July, last Tuesday.

They also got close to being the 16U boys 2018 winners in an extremely competitive and exciting game against Tauranga (New Zealand) last Wednesday. The boys were defeated in the last quarter, by one goal difference.
In the battle for the bronze medal in the 20U men’s division, North Harbour faced another New Zealand based club, Marist, and lost in a penalty shootout. They finished the tournament in the 4th position.

In the second week of competition the team have great chances with the 14U and 18U grades to increase their tally of golds. With two teams playing in each division, their Maroon’s (teams 1) haven’t lost a match yet and so the expectations are high.
"The expectation is, of course, to make it to the Pan Pacs gold medal games. With the 18U Maroon women's, we have a really great group of girls and our intention is to develop them as a team for the next year's National League, so the little improvements in a tournament like the Pan Pacs are always a key for that development. And, of course, we are playing looking forward to be in the finals." Eike Daube, 18U NHWP Maroon women's coach.
