Laszlo "Laci" Gyori (L)
Many of you newbies over the past 6-7 years never knew Laci. He arrived from Hungary in the mid-2000's and became involved with water polo here in Florida under his mentor Istvan Csendes. One day he took a drive to California documenting his trip by stopping the car and taking a photo of every state sign before he entered it. As the story goes he met a few water polo contacts in Cali and never came back to Florida. He was a real character, great coach, funny, had special talent for teaching young children & women.......and he was a voracious eater, no one could wolf down chow like Laci. He married, became a father as well as a US citizen. Little by little he's also become one of the most respected coaches & referees in California. Above we have Laci reffing the 2018 18U JO Championship game held in San Jose last weekend.
