NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. — Iona College seeks a part-time Water Polo Director of Operations to assist the Head Coach in organizing, directing and administering all aspects of the college’s NCAA Division I Water Polo program within the rules and regulations of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), Iona College and the Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC).
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Plan and/or coordinate all team travel
- Schedule facilities for practices, competitions, special programs and camps
- Create and produce marketing and public relations materials as well as coordinate public relations activities
- Support the academic success of student-athletes of the water polo program
- Other duties as assigned by the head/assistant coaching staff
Required Experience
- Education: B.S. degree required from a recognized college or university.
- Experience: Knowledge of NCAA and/or Northeast Water Polo rules and regulations
- Specialized Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Strong initiative, detail and follow up skills with students athletes and staff members. Demonstrates professional image on and off the pool deck.
- Physical Requirements: Work is performed in a coaching, athletic, competitive out door environment. Must be in excellent physical health to handle fast pace environment. Able to stand for long, extended periods of time.
